Nurses who hold advanced degrees, at the Master's level or beyond, have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the community's health care at Duke. Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) are available for consultation to a variety of clients, including staff nurses, community-based physicians affiliated with Duke's primary care network, administrators, and other health care providers, as well as patients and their families. Clinical services by APNs cover the entire continuum of care, from APN-managed clinics to critical care delivery, on the local, state, national and international levels.
