The Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center was founded in 1972 as one of the nation’s first NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers. Over the past four decades, Duke’s commitment to provide exceptional cancer care has intensified and strengthened. Recognizing ending cancer requires a weapon as adaptive and multiform as the disease itself, we have created one—a pioneering institute. Established in 2012, Duke Cancer Institute is a collaborative powerhouse—audacious, evolving, unconventional—at the center of a world-renowned university and medical center.
Our state-of-the-art cancer center and community based sites offer our elite nursing candidates a broad spectrum of specialized programs and expertise in cutting-edge treatments. Our specialties include:
- Bone marrow and stem cell transplantation
- Infusion therapies
- Medical oncology
- Radiation therapy
- Surgical oncology
- Clinical Research
All of these specialties are seen across the inpatient and ambulatory care continuum.
