DUKE PRIMARY CARE
Formed in 1994, Duke Primary Care covers many local communities serving the greater Triangle, North Carolina area. This network of services extends the reach of Duke Health, making it easy for patients to find services in their own neighborhoods. Hundreds of physicians are part of this network of clinics and continuum of care, which includes a large number of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical office assistants, radiology technicians and laboratory technicians.
Duke Primary Care supports Duke Health's mission of education, research and patient care through the development and integration of a full-service primary care network, and provides unmatched patient care services that include:
- Primary care in internal medicine, family practice and general pediatrics
- Acute and chronic care management
- Prevention and wellness
- Urgent care
In addition to primary care clinic settings, Duke Primary Care offers nursing opportunities at ambulatory surgery centers that provide safe, patient-friendly access to a growing number of outpatient procedures.
