Duke's Year of the Nurse Series
May 12, 2020, marked the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. In celebration of this event as well as to acknowledge the service of nurses across the globe, the World Health Organization declared 2020 as the Year of the Nurse. To celebrate Florence’s legacy and to demonstrate Duke Nursing’s excellence, we’re taking you to our front line to show you some of the extraordinary contributions Duke Nurses are making across our system, in our communities and to our profession every day.
Join us from now until May 2021 as we celebrate the Year of the Nurse and share with you how Duke nurses are delivering on the promise of excellence to the people we so proudly serve.
